INSURANCE IS REAL. TRUE TO LIFE.

One of my advisors, Marie Genevive Diaz, has a client whom we pushed so hard to secure a policy from us. He finally gave in sometime in Sep 2016, settled his 9,000.00 quarterly premium upon application and had his application approved on 07 Oct 2016.
On 30 Jan 2017, a little bit over 3 months from his policy approval date, Gen received a call from her Laguna-based client who was in a hospital in Davao during that time. He was suffering from chest pain for few days already and the doctors advised ICU and hospital confinement. He stayed there for 6 days and was diagnosed to have Myocardial Infarction. He experienced Mild Heart Attack. Upon learning this, she immediately checked all claim requirements and as soon as the client was discharged, collected all necessary documents and filed them.
In the middle of his claim investigation, next settlement schedule came in. He settled 2 more months of his premium and did not bother to continue his policy in spite of our relentless reminders using all media. He failed to see the beauty of what he was about to lose, of what we were fighting for. After sometime, as if he bumped his head, he responded to one of Gen’s earlier messages but it was too late already – the policy lapsed. His policy could not be reinstated due to his condition. We were super worried because of the effect this may have on the on-going claim investigation.
26 May 2017, Gen received an sms and email from Claims Department informing her that the claims were approved. With lapsed policy and what the client settled for 15,000.00, he got two cheques – 1M for Critical Illness Benefit and 12K for Hospital Income Benefit.
Imagine life without insurance. Picture out our client’s life if he was not able to claim and suffered more serious heart attack, let alone failed to heed Gen’s call to insure himself. How will he settle the bill? And if he could not work anymore after the illness, how’s life going to be like?
We fought tooth and nail to financially protect our client against life risks – critical illness, disability, old age and death. We did the same thing reminding him to keep his policy in-force. We did more by making sure he would get something out of his policy and we delivered. WE DELIVERED.
